Jeannette L. Buecker, 92, of Oconomowoc (formally of Watertown), went to be with Jesus her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 26, 2014
She was born on August 4, 1922 in Hastings, NE the daughter of John & Marie (Koehler) Eichorn. Jeannette was a 1940 graduate of Lincoln High School and a 1941 graduate of the Lincoln School of Commerce both located in Lincoln, Nebraska. After graduation she was employed by the City Engineer for the city of Lincoln. She married Robert Buecker Sr. on October 5, 1944 in Lincoln. Through the years, the couple lived in California, Nebraska, Wyoming, Kansas, Illinois, and South Dakota working for the most part on ranches specializing in pure bred cattle operations. The couple raised five children. In 1960 the family moved to Sidney, NE where Jeannette worked many years for the Cheyenne County Highway Department. In 1988 she moved to Watertown and was a charter member of River Valley Alliance Church. She was a life-long Christ follower and dedicated servant. While in Watertown, Jeannette held several positions at Bethesda Lutheran Homes. Those positions included Foster Grandparent, Chaperone, Group Home worker and working part-time in Bethesda's on-campus clinic. She was also a volunteer at Watertown Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by: her Children John Buecker of Durango, CO, Thomas (Kay) Buecker of Lincoln, NE, Robert Buecker Jr. of Watertown, Cynthia (Robert) Lauridsen of Oconomowoc, Dan (Tracy) Buecker of Durango, CO; Grandchildren Robert (Taunya) Buecker III, Alissa (Keith) Heerdegen, Michael (Jessica) Buecker, Leslie (Nick) Anderson, Anne (Jason) Henderson; Step-Grandchildren David (Carrie) Polly, Jason (Kelly) Carroll, Phil (Hannah) Carroll, Amy (Scott) Urban; Great-Grandchildren Blake, Jett, Rylee, Jaxson, Brock, Ava, Urijah, Mya, Ella, Calvin, Wesley, Arianna. Jeannette is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
She is preceded in death by: her Parents, Sisters Donna Joy Lebsack and Betty June Squires and her dear cousin LaVonne Keller.
Memorials to the River Valley Alliance Church or the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association in Jeannette's honor would be appreciated.
The family would like to thank the staff of Shorehaven Tower for their compassion and care for Jeannette.
A memorial service will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the River Valley Alliance Church of Watertown with Rev. David Zimmerman presiding. Visitation will be on Saturday from 11am until the time of service at the church.
