Jean A Gerlach, 89 of Watertown, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Marquardt Heath Center.
Jean was born on April 19, 1927 in Tripoli, WI, the daughter of Walter and Lenora (Kaufman) Hills. She is a graduate of Tripoli High School. On February 15, 1947, she married Arnold L. Gerlach in Ladysmith, WI. She was a homemaker for the majority of her life. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Watertown. She was an avid reader and gardener, a talented artist and she and her husband volunteered with Laborers for Christ - traveling around throughout the United States, building church buildings for communities in need. Jean and Arnold had a passion for furthering the cause of Christ and will be missed.
She is survived by: her Children Diana (Phillip) Price of Wind Lake, Gary Gerlach of Fox Lake, Rebecca (Peter) Kubale of Dane; 8 Grandchildren Steven, Randall, Joseph, Jeremy (Lynn), Lucas (Michelle), Mandy (Todd), Katie (Travis), Christopher; 13 Great-Grandchildren. Jean is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jean is preceded in death by: her parents, husband, Son Rickey Lee, Sister Beverly Hills, Brother Jack, and Brother Darwin.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, July 26, 2016 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Watertown with Rev. David Groth presiding. Visitation will be on Monday from 12:00PM until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place at Glenview Memorial Gardens of Ixonia following the service.
