Watertown-Janice B. (Bartz) Mitchell 82 of Watertown passed away Monday January 7, 2013 at Aurora Medical Center in the Town of Summit.
Janice was born on October 10, 1930 in Pewaukee the daughter of Vern & Hazel (Wandschneider) Bartz. She married Robert Mitchell on April 23, 1949 in Pewaukee and together farmed in the town of Ixonia at their present address. She was a homemaker all her life and has been a member of the Concord United Methodist Church since 1949 and it's Circle of Faith. She was a member of the P.T.A. in Ixonia and Concord.
Survivors include: husband Robert Mitchell of Watertown; five children Donna (nee-Mitchell) Soto of Lake Mills, Stan (Don) Mitchell of North Carolina, Randy Mitchell of Watertown, Richard (Jeff) Mitchell of Mesa, Arizona and Steve (Kathy) Mitchell of North Carolina; six grandchildren Nathan, Melissa (Nick), Angela (Sean), Andrea (Marco), Madison and Sydney; four great grandchildren Kaylee, Alex, Hayden and Adelyn; her faithful companions Blu and Shepherd. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her father & mother in law as well as her beloved dogs Toby and Skipper.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday January 12, 2013 at the Concord United Methodist Church Concord with Rev. Bonnie Bell Presiding. Visitation will be held 4:00-8:00 PM Friday January 11, 2013 at the church and 10:00 AM Saturday January 12, 2013 until the time of service. Interment in the Church Cemetery will follow the service. Memorials to the Church or a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
