James E. Weihert, 91, of Waterloo passed away on Friday August 11, 2017 at Alden Estates in Jefferson.
James was born on June 6, 1926 in the Town of York, WI the son of William H. and Lena (Heiman) Weihert II. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Waterloo and a 1944 graduate of Waterloo High School and later honorably served his country in the Army during WWII. He married the love of his life Audrey Schultz on June 6, 1948 in the Town of Medina. James was a skilled mechanic by trade and owned and operated Deppe Implement and Auto for 40 years retiring in 1986. Jim was an active member of Marshall American Legion as well as Marshall Lions Club. He was an avid outdoorsman, and loved to hunt and fish. More recently, Jim loved a good ice cream cone. He will be dearly missed by his family.
Survivors include: Wife Audrey Weihert of Waterloo; Children Tom (Debra) Weihert of Marshall, WI, Will (Fran) Weihert III of Tomahawk, WI, Bev Weihert of Watertown, WI and Deb (Brent) Bergholz of Waterloo, WI; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and a sister, Diana Minnameier of Reeseville. James is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and other friends.
James is preceded in death by: his parents, 2 brothers, and 7 sisters.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 16, 2017 at 11:00AM at St. John's Lutheran Church Waterloo with the Rev. Thomas Wilsmann presiding. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in the Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland.
