Ila G. Canaan 84, of Watertown passed away on Friday Feb. 22, 2013 at Marquardt Memorial Manor.
Ila was born on Feb. 4, 1929 in Oklahoma the daughter of Cecil and Lucy (Clark) Fry. She married James Canaan on July 23, 1946 at United Brethren Church in Sandusky, WI. Ila was a cake decorator, seamstress and also worked at H & R Block Watertown for many years. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and Independent Order of Foresters.
Survivors include: daughter Linda (Jeff) Westenberg of Watertown; grandchildren Heather (Vernon) Fleischman of Waterloo, James Spinhirne of Waterloo and Rebbeca (Craig) Sinnen of Milwaukee; great grandchildren Krystal, Caitlin, Tristan, Teri, James, Amanda and Colton; sisters Virginia (Raymond) Brandt of Hill point, WI and Marian Unberhaun of Cuba City, WI; also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter Beth. Memorials to Marquardt Manor would be appreciated.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM on Wednesday Feb. 27, 2013 at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Kral officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday 11:00 until the time of service. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery Watertown.
