Gordon E. Latsch 77 of Jefferson/ Town of Farmington passed away on Sat. July 28, 2012 at home surrounded by his family.
Gordon was born on April 9, 1935 in Madison the son of Everett & Jeanette (Riedemann) Latsch. He was a 1952 graduate of Johnson Creek HS. He married Joan Hemke on Nov. 21, 1953 at the Watertown Methodist Church. He served nine years in the National Guard. Gordon worked construction, working at Latsch Construction for many years. He also worked numerous construction jobs around the area. He was an active and founding member of the J.C. Riders Snowmobile Club. He was a snowmobile safety instructor for many years. Gordon enjoyed camping, hunting, playing cards, Polka music, playing horseshoes and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include: wife Joan of Jefferson; five children Randy (Colleen) Latsch of Helenville, Scott (Tami) Latsch of Helenville, Tracy (Lauri) Latsch of Jefferson, Julie (Craig) Soholt of Watertown and Sherry (Greg) Gnabasik of Jefferson; fourteen grandchildren Monica, Nicole, Janelle, Kole, Jessica, Tanner, Megan, Logan, Levi, Lexi, Layci, Ashton, Torri and Kylee; four great grandchildren Kirsten, Cannon, Haylee and Camryn; sister Glennis Zastrow of Watertown. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held 12:00 PM on Wednesday Aug. 1, 2012 at the Pederson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jane Wegner presiding. Visitation will be held on Tuesday 5-8 PM and on Wednesday 11:00 AM until the time of service all at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ebenezer Moravian Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Rainbow Hospice for all their care and compassion.
