Gloria B. Millard

Gloria B. Millard, 88 of Waterloo, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2023, at Jefferson Memory Care in Jefferson, WI.

Gloria was born on August 9, 1935, in Beaver Dam, WI. She was the daughter of Elbert and Ella (Grossman) Will. She married the love of her life Dickie Millard on December 1, 1956, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Waterloo WI. Gloria was a dedicated wife and mother of 3 children. Gloria and Dickie built a home Portland, WI, and she stayed at home to care for their 3 children. Gloria enjoyed doing her daily house chores, shopping, camping and fishing. Gloria was also a talented seamstress, often sewing her own clothes. She was best known as an excellent cook and always enjoyed hosting a party. Gloria was also always ready for a game of cards. Gloria loved spending time with her children, as well as spending time with her grandchildren. No matter what the weather was, she also made her daily walk to the Washington Cemetery.

Gloria is survived by: her 3 children Rickie(Janet) Millard of Sturgeon Bay, Christine (Richard Colvin) Grotjahn of Columbus, and Lorrie (Bruce Olson) Cedarwall of Waterloo; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Gloria is also survived by a number nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dickie, brothers Donny, Duane, and Lloyd Will and her sister LaVern Anderson.

The family would also like to thank Jefferson Memory Care and Rainbow Hospice for taking great care of their mother.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church of Waterloo with Rev. Jim Adomeit presiding. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Gloria will be laid to rest at Washington Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Gloria’s name to St. John Ev. Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
