Sullivan-Gloria M. Grunewald 83 of Sullivan passed away on Wednesday June 20, 2012.
Gloria was born on March 11, 1929 in Marshfield the daughter of Carl & Alvina (Patrie) Schmitt. She was a graduate of Spencer High School. She married Clarence Grunewald on May 11, 1949 at St. Henry Cath. Church in Spencer, WI. She was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Sullivan.
Survivors include: 5 children Peter (Patricia) Grunewald of Hazelhurst, WI, George Grunewald of Sullivan, John (Sandi) Grunewald of Fort Atkinson, Jim (Brenda Slovacek) Grunewald of Stoughton and Sharon (James Klokow) Grunewald of Helenville; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother Carl (Marie) Schmitt Jr. of Marshfield; sister Faustine (Frank) Binder of Marshfield; also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Clarence who passed away May 18, 1987. Memorials to Rainbow Hospice or St. Mary Catholic Church would be appreciated.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:00 PM on Monday June 25, 2012 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church Sullivan with Fr. Tom Coyle presiding. Visitation will be held on Monday 11:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
