Gloria R. Abendroth 85 of Waterloo passed away on Sat. Nov. 17, 2012 at her home.
Gloria was born on Oct. 22, 1927 in Lancaster, WI the daughter of George & Gladys (Hicken) Foreyt. She was a graduate of Madison East High School. She married Carroll H. Abendroth on June 25, 1950 in McFarland, WI. Gloria worked as a bookkeeper at Edward Gulesserian in Madison for 35 years. She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Waterloo. She loved playing cards, doing puzzles, bird watching and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include: 3 children Michelle Menigoz of Oconomowoc, Rickey (Rebecca) of Waterloo and Randy (Joan) of Deforest; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 sisters LaVon Hahn of Fennimore and Eleanor Georgeson of Poynette; brother Ronald (Carol) Foreyt of Cottage Grove; also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and a granddaughter Rhonda Abendroth. Memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday Nov. 21, 2012 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Waterloo with the Rev. Rob Kosky presiding. Visitation will be held on Wednesday 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Waterloo.
