Glenn W. Katzner, 78 of Watertown (formally of Waukesha), was lifted by the angels to our Lord in Heaven on February 5, 2016 in Surprise, AZ. It was a peaceful journey home and his wife was by his side until the end.
Glenn was born November 29, 1937 in Waukesha, WI the son of Paul and Gladys (Wagner) Katzner. He was a 1956 graduate of Waukesha High School and served his country in the US Army. On October 12, 1957, he married Mary Pfeffer at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Waukesha. The couple raised 2 children, Jeffery and Jenifer. Glenn was employed as Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Payne & Dolan, Inc. for 30 plus years and retired in 1999. Glenn was a decent, very hardworking, and good man. He enjoyed winters in Arizona and summers fishing at his cabin in Eagle River with his family. He was a devout family-man who adored his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and the feeling was mutual! He was a man who made lasting and meaningful memories with the ones he loved. Glenn and Mary enjoyed traveling the world together, seeing and experiencing the vast offerings of God's creation. Glenn and Mary were a couple that needed nothing more than each other and he will be dearly missed.
Glenn is survived by: his loving Wife Mary of Watertown; Children Jeffery Katzner of Watertown, and Jenifer Katzner of Waukesha; Grandchildren Jaclyn (Aaron) Luecht of Fort Leonardwood, MO, and Michael (Christine) Katzner of Waukesha; Great-Granddaughter Adalyne Cora Luecht; Sisters Ellen, Alyce, and Phyllis. Glenn is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, 2 sisters and a nephew.
In lieu of flowers, acts of kindness in Glenn's honor would be cherished. He was a man always willing to help anyone in need, and the continuation of his character would be appreciated.
