Gladys V. Draeger, 88 of Watertown (formally of Waterloo), passed away peacefully on February 8, 2015 at Heritage Homes of Watertown.
She was born on February 5, 1927 in the Town of Medina, the daughter of Otto and Louisa Buss. On July 26, 1947 she married Earl Draeger at St. John's Lutheran Church of Waterloo. The couple farmed the family farm for many years. Later in life, Gladys was an original resident of Heritage Homes of Watertown - spending the 4 plus years there. She was a wonderful homemaker and life-long, active member of St. John's Lutheran church, where she devoted many years to the Lord's service with the church's Dorcas Society. Gladys loved gardening, enjoyed cooking, baking and making quilts that she sent to people in need. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family and many friends.
She is survived by: her children Donald Draeger of Edwards, MO, Robert (Evelyn) Dreager of Lake Mills, Karen (Ohne) Raasch of Lake Mills, Ronald (Lori) Draeger of Marshall, and Carolanne (Darrel) Turcotte of Lake Mills; 13 Grandchildren; 15 Great-Grandchildren. Gladys is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Gladys is preceded in death by: her Parents, Husband Earl, twin Grandsons in infancy, and a Great-Granddaughter.

A funeral service will be at 2:00PM on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Waterloo with Rev. James Adomeit presiding. Visitation will be on Thursday from 1:00PM until the time of service at the church. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland.
