Gertrude Moss

Gertrude A. Moss, 89 of Watertown passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 29, 2020.

Gertrude was born on June 29, 1930 in Watertown, the daughter Harry and Marcella (Metzger) Zoelle. She married Daniel Moss on Aug. 13 1955 and the couple enjoyed 56 years of marriage together.   Gertrude worked as an RN with Dodge County for many years and later earned a Master’s Degree from U.W. Whitewater.  She was a lifelong member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and supporter of the Watertown Public Library. In her earlier years, she enjoyed horseback and raising her family. Later in her life she spent time reading, attending art classes, painting and spending time with her family.

Survivors include: children James Moss, Mary (Daniel) Seurer, Thomas Moss and Paul Moss; grandchildren Christopher and Rachel Seurer; great-granddaughter Vivian Seurer; sister Mary Zoelle. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her husband, son Joseph, and sister Margaret.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at St. Bernard"s Catholic Church in Watertown.
