Waterloo

Gerald L. Hall, 91, of Waterloo, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, June 24, 2024.

Gerald was born on October 18, 1932 in Tomah, WI, son of Charles and Florence (Gray) Hall. He graduated from Tomah High School in 1950. He married his high school sweetheart, Willow Ayers on August 28, 1952, in Providence, RI, where he was stationed in the United States Navy as an aircraft mechanic on many aircraft naval carriers. He served from 1950-1953, serving in the Korean War. He enjoyed camping, photography, playing cards, watching the birds and squirrels, and he was a very talented woodworker, but most of all spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his four children; Mike (Cindy) Hall, Brooklyn WI, Tom (Colleen) Hall, De Forest, Marla Hall, Waterloo, Caralee (Carl) Butzine, Lake Mills. Six grandsons; Jerry (Lynn) Hall, Oregon, WI, Matt Hall, Brooklyn, WI, Greg (Pam) Hall, De Forest, WI, David (Jackie) Hall, De Forest, WI, and Cody (Emily) Butzine, Evansville, WI. Seven great-grandchildren; Brinlee, Cammeron, Jayce, Stella, Micah, Kate, and Isaac. He is also survived by his beloved dog Willy, a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, grandson Clenton Hall, along with brothers; Robert, Lawrence, Donald, sisters; Marion, Marguerite, and Geraldine

Our family would like to thank Rainbow Hospice for the love and care given to our father.

Burial will take place at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery in Waterloo.
