Gary J. Fassbender

Gary passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, after a lengthy illness.

Gary was born to Leon (Fuzzy) and Caroline Fassbender on August 8, 1955. He enjoyed playing cards and fishing. He worked in the pallet industry for over 30 years.

Gary is survived by his five sisters: Coleen Irgens, Carla Hopkins, Becky Weatherwax (Darwin), Brenda Mabry (Tim), and Tina Morgan (Brian). He is further survived by a number of Nieces, Nephews, Nibling, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers-in-law, Mark W. Irgens and Tommie D. Weatherwax.

A friends and family gathering will take place from 12:00 - 3:00pm on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home in Waterloo. Burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary’s honor to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
