Gabrielle K. Spende, 16 of Watertown, went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ on the morning of June 22, 2016 at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.
Gabby was a precious gift, and she was born on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2000 in Oconomowoc, WI, the daughter of Jeffrey and Paula (Murray) Spende. She was the oldest daughter, number 2 kid in the Spende Family. She completed her sophomore year at Watertown High School with honors. She played club and high school volleyball, just for fun. She loved to travel and was interested in studying abroad. She was the best older sister and unconditionally cherished her siblings. She had a constant smile. Gabby had an appetite for life and devoured it every day! She understood what was important and didn't worry about the small stuff. She was a goal setter and hard worker and wanted to succeed. She forgave every offense and never held a grudge, full of joy and her laughter never ceased. She was a breath of fresh air and lit up a room with her presence. Gabrielle Kathryn Spende will be desperately missed, but all who knew her have the sure hope that her chains are gone, and she has been set free!
Gabby is survived by: her Parents Jeffery and Paula Spende; dear Siblings Grayson, Lucy, Logan and Tess; Maternal Grandmother Kathryn Bucher of Elkhorn and Paternal Grandparents Bruce and Patricia Spende of Delafield; first true love Antonio Enriquez of Watertown. She is also survived by a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her Maternal Grandfather Charles Murray and Maternal Step-Grandfather Leonard Bucher.
Friends are encouraged to bring fresh-cut flowers to the St. Bernard's School on Tuesday from 9:00AM to 11:00AM. Please bring a photo memory to the visitation on Tuesday. Blank memory boards will be available.

A Christian Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church with Fr. Scott Jablonski presiding. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:30PM to 8:00PM at Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home of Watertown and on Wednesday from 10:00AM until the time of the service at the church.
