Florence M. Riedl, 91 of Waterloo, passed away on Wednesday March 12, 2014 at the Highland House of Waterloo.
Florence was born in Watertown, WI on August 27, 1922 to Sylvester and Marcella (Roark) Thoma. On May 13, 1944 she married Gerald Riedl and enjoyed 50 years of marriage until his death in 1994. Florence grew up in the Watertown area and spent her married life living and farming in Waterloo. She was long-time and involved member of Holy Family Parish of Waterloo and belonged to the Altar Society of the church. She was a volunteer driver for the Meals on Wheel program. She enjoyed playing cards and was a member of many clubs including the Homemakers.
Florence is survived by her sister Marian Kreuziger, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gerald and their son Tom. She is also preceded by her sisters Elizabeth Quest and Helen Quest.
Memorials can be made to Holy Family Parish, Highland House of Waterloo or Marquardt at Home Hospice.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Holy Family Parish - Waterloo Campus at 11:00AM with Fr. Jorge Miramontes presiding. A visitation will be at the church from 10:00AM until the time of service.
