Evelyn Raue

Evelyn H. Raue, 100, of Jasper, IN formerly of Watertown, passed away on Sunday January 13, 2013 at the Northwood Good Samaritan in Jasper, IN.
Evelyn was born on Feb. 7, 1912 in the Town of Emmet, WI the daughter of Louis and Hulda (Horn) Kressin. She was a graduate of Watertown High School and attended Northwestern College and the Milwaukee Business School. She married Edward S. Raue on May 2, 1934 in Watertown. As a Watertown resident, Evelyn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was active in the Curtain Club. She was also a member of the Watertown Country Club, the Elks Club, Watertown Sewing Group and the Milwaukee Athletic Club. She volunteered at the Bethesda Lutheran Thrift Shop. For 35 years she traveled to Florida and Arizona every winter. She was an avid Packer and Notre Dame Fan. She enjoyed watching spring training games, especially those played by the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs.
Survivors include 5 children: James Raue of Winter Park, FL, Susan (Dr. Mack) Hicks of St. Petersburg, FL, Dianne (William) Keller of Mesa, AZ, Jack (Nettie) Raue of Pewaukee and Jill (Richard) Klaus of Jasper, IN; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 15, 1970, son Edward S. Raue Jr, brother Alvin and half sister Ruth Engelhart. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday January 19, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church Watertown with the Rev. Paul Kuckhahn presiding. Visitation will be held on Saturday 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery.
