Evelyn M. Gunning 80, of Watertown passed away on Sunday Dec. 16, 2012 at her home.
Evelyn was born on Sept. 26, 1932 in the Town of Emmet to Herbert and Alma (Olson) Zubke. She married Matthew Gunning on May 19, 1956 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Watertown. Evelyn worked as an assembler of Village Blacksmith and Brandt. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she had taught Sunday school. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed wildlife.
Survivors include a sister Doris (Ozzie) Wuethrich of Fairfield, PA and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers. Memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church or the Watertown Humane Society would be appreciated.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday December 19, 2012 in Oak Hill Cemetery Watertown with the Rev. Todd Iverson presiding.
