Ernest F. Wolff, 92 of Watertown, died at home on Thursday, October 13, 2016 with his sons at his bed side.
Ernest was born on March 9, 1924 in London, WI, the son on Walter and Ida (Burkholz) Wolff. On April 19, 1947 he married the love of his life, Alice Renz at St. John's Lutheran Church of Waterloo and the couple enjoyed 41 years of marriage, until her death in 1989. Ernest was a farmer his entire life. He loved being outside, running the equipment, and working with his sons. Ernest was a perfectionist and thought if a job was worth doing, it was worth doing perfectly. His sons describe his as the hardest working man they have ever known. He loved baseball, watching the Packers, playing sheepshead and was a talented dancer. Ernest F. Wolf was a good man and will be missed.
He is survived by: his Sons David (Michele) of Watertown, and Carl (Terri) of Lowell; Grandchildren Matthew, Amanda (Daniel) Lewig, Joshua (Hannah), and Benjamin; Great-Grandchildren Logan and Estella; and Brothers Vernon (Melody) and Stanley.
Ernest is preceded in death by: his parents, loving wife, Sons Kenny and Earl, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00PM on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home of Waterloo with Rev. Daniel Lewig presiding. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place following the service at Kroghville Cemetery.
