Emerich Faupl, 87 of Lake Mills, previously of Menomonee Falls passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Lilac Springs in Lake Mills.
Emerich was born on February 15th, 1930 in Hungary the son of Adam and Elizabeth (Dorn) Faupl. He married Marlene Lenck in Milwaukee on October 30, 1954. The couple enjoyed 62 years of marriage and raised two sons, Michael and Richard. Emerich loved his family. He was a family man first and foremost. He loved his wife Marlene's cooking and spending time with his loved ones at their cabin up north. He enjoyed hunting, downhill skiing, dancing with his wife, and was known by his family to make an excellent homemade chicken noodle soup. His grandchildren were always excited to go to Opa's for a bowl of his chicken noodle. Emerich and Marlene also enjoyed traveling together. The two were able to go on many trips all over the world during their retirement years. Emerich was a member of the Musci Club, a group of individuals that emigrated from the same town in Hungary. He was also very handy and love to fix things. Emerich enjoyed all life had to offer and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Emerich is survived by: his two sons Michael (Jayne) Faupl of Bourbon, Missouri, Richard (Cathy) Faupl of Watertown; 4 grandchildren Jackie, Jeremy, Daniel and Jimmy; one sister Zita Angeli of Menomonee Falls; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Emerich was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home in Watertown on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 11:00AM. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30AM until the time of service.
