Elvira M. Frey, 95 of Watertown, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 23, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on August 19, 1918 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Emil and Elsie (Jahnke) Joers. Elvira was married to Alfred Frey Sr. on June 25, 1938 at Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church in Franklin, WI (now St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church). Elvira worked as a tool sharpener at Briggs & Stratton for about 15 years, but spent the majority of her life as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was a longtime member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church of Watertown. She loved to travel, was a member of the Catholic Women's Club, enjoyed playing cards, doing all sorts of crafts, fishing, and loved to dance to old time music, especially polka. Above all other interests, she took the most joy in spending time with her family.
Elvira is survived by: 5 children; Rosemarie (Lloyd) Holterman Sr. of Watertown, Ronald (Linda) Frey of Green Bay, Alfred (Leilani ) Frey Jr. of Brookfield, Joanne Zaborski of Milwaukee and Richard (Peggy) Frey of Coyote, New Mexico; 20 Grandchildren; 41 Great- Grandchildren and 8 Great, Great-Grandchildren. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: husband Alfred, her parents, daughter Patricia Sagan, 3 brothers, 1 sister and son-in-law James Zaborski.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday March 27, 2014 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church with Msgr. Daniel Ganshert presiding. A visitation will be from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will be at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Cemetery of Franklin, WI
