Eleanor Malita Lorenz, 94 of Watertown, passed away on Friday, August 01, 2014 at Marquardt Health Center of Watertown.
Eleanor was born on March 17, 1920 in Mattoon, WI to Rev. Joseph and Malita (Hilgendorf) Krubsack. She was a graduate of Eagle River (WI) High School. On October 1, 1949, she married Paul Lorenz Jr. in Goodrich, WI. Although she worked outside of the home on a few occasions, the majority of her life was spent as a homemaker. Eleanor was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a strong faith in her Savior and it reflected in everything she did. She was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a member of the Ladies Aid. She had a great appreciation and love for music and she instilled that love in her family. She loved animals, cats being her favorite. Her homemade bread was a work of art. Her kitchen was filled with the sound of her singing and the warmth of her heart. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Eleanor is survived by: children Pauline (Charles) Sukow of Watertown, Norman (MichA"le) Lorenz of Madison, David (Susan) Lorenz of St. Cloud, MN, Sharon (Vern) Mondl of Watertown, and daughter-in-law Lois Lorenz of Watertown; grandchildren Sherri (Paul) Lueck, Sandy (Dan) Phelps, Kevin (Jennie) Sukow, April (Ian) Schaefer, Noah Lorenz, Michael Marozick, and Matthew Marozick; 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, her husband Paul, son Carl, brother Edward Krubsack and sister Dorothy Ard.
She was a long-time resident of Marquardt Village and the family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff for the loving and dedicated care given.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Watertown with Rev. Rodney Warnecke presiding. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 9:30AM until the time of service. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery of Watertown following the service.
