Edward Kloida

December 8, 1918 — June 21, 2015

Edward G. Kloida, 96 of Oconomowoc/Watertown, passed away on June 21, 2015 at Aurora Medical Center of Oconomowoc.
Edward was born on December 8, 1918 in Marinette, Wisconsin to Edward and Anna (Sladky) Kloida. On August 4, 1941 Edward married Ruth Brewer, of Mineral Point, Wisconsin, in Madison, Wisconsin. Together they had a loving son, Gregg. His loving wife Ruth went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2011. A year after Edward and Ruth were married, he faithfully served our country in World War II in the United States Army/Air Force as a TSgt until the war's end in 1945. Edward was an accountant for the IRS and retired as Group Manager in 1976. He was also a longtime member of St. Bernard's Church of Watertown. He was a member of VFW Post #1465. Edward will be remembered as a soft-spoken thoughtful and kind man.
Edward is survived by: his son Gregg (Perkie) Kloida of Oconomowoc; grandchildren Scott (Tiffanie) Kloida of Brookfield, Troy (Terry) Letts of Watertown, Kimberly (Jon) Ehlke of North Port, FL; great grandchildren Braden and Tyler Kloida, Sam, Levi and Jeremiah Letts, and Alisha and Jessica Ehlke; Edward is also survived by his brother William Kloida of Yakima, WA and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, his wife Ruth and also five brothers.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Watertown at 11:00AM on Monday June 29, 2015. Burial with military rights will be held in the parish cemetery immediately following the service.
