Douglas S. Haase, 47 of Watertown, passed away peacefully, surrouned by his family on Monday, October 3, 2016 at Rainbow Hospice Center of Johnson Creek following a courageous battle with cancer.
Doug was born on January 19, 1969 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Linda (Wojciechowski) and Albert Haase. On June 26, 2015, he married Jessica Van Buren in Jefferson. Doug spent many years working at Watertown Wal-Mart and Pic-n-Save as the "Fun Manager". Doug's personality was BIG. He loved people and had a gift of sharing his happiness with others. He was an outgoing person and was always the life of the party. Doug loved being with friends and family in Tomahawk, WI; spending time outdoors and just being "up north". Doug's generosity was undeniable and he always put others needs before his own. He loved his wife dearly and cherished time with their children. Doug and Jess loved being together, looking at old houses and were interested in all aspects of antiques. He was a huge Packer fan and season ticket holder. Doug was a special man who was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by: his Wife Jessica; Parents Linda Haase and Albert (Rosa) Haase; Children Izabella and Joseph; Brother Chad (Kelly) Haase; Nephew Chance Haase, Aunt Cheryl (Marshall) Sherrer; Uncle David Wojciechowski; In-Laws John and Susan Sherry; Sister-in-Law Jennifer Sherry. Doug is also survived by a number of other relatives and many friends.
Doug is preceded in death by his Grandparents Arthur and Mary Wojciechowski.
In lieu of memorials, the family would encourage friends to give blood in Doug's honor. Doug credited many blood products for prolonging his life and the Blood Center of Wisconsin was a cause that was close to his heart.
A Friends and Family Gathering will be held from 1:00PM-4:00PM on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home of Watertown.
