Douglas R. Dorn, 67 of Waterloo, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016 at Golden Living of Randolph.
Doug was born on April 11, 1949 in Madison, WI the Son of Richard and Eleanor (Adler) Dorn. Doug is a 1967 Graduate of Waterloo High School and on April 11, 1970, he married Joyce Heiman at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Waterloo. Doug worked on the family farm for his entire life and took pride in being the owner and operator of Dorn Acres. He was a hardworking and efficient man who didn't waste anything. Doug could see a task and know where to start to get the job done. He was very able, could fix anything and he owned nearly every tool ever made. He was a collector of anything and loved buying and selling (except the selling part) stuff at auctions. He is a lifelong member of St. Joe's Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, FFA, 4-H, served on the Waterloo School Board, and enjoyed his Monday night sheepshead group. Doug was as good man and will be missed.
He is survived by: his Wife Joyce; his Children Nancy Dorn of Madison, David (Debbie) of Waterloo, Alan (Billie) of Waterloo, Kevin (Jessica) of Waterloo, and Angela Dorn of Lake Mills; Grandchildren Brandi, Mason, Leeah, Kyan, William, Larissa, Austin, Wyatt, Autumn, and Kora; Brothers Bob (Isabelle) of Wisconsin Dells and Ken (Donna) of Waterloo. Doug is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Holy Family Parish - Waterloo Campus with Fr. Jorge Miramontes presiding. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland.
