Dorothy R. Ballentine, 92 of Waterloo, died on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Columbus Community Hospital.
Dorothy was born on March 14, 1923 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Alfred and Lena (Kalwitz) Hartmann. On October 2, 1965 she married Lloyd H. Ballentine in Brown Deer, WI. She was a long time member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Waterloo. Dorothy was a devoted and loving caregiver to her family. She enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her pet dogs.
Dorothy is survived by: Sister Eileen (Gordon) Ketchman of Milwaukee; Niece Carolyn Ketchman of Milwaukee; caregiver and special friend Chris Riege of Waterloo. She is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, husband, and Brothers Clarence and Robert.
Memorials in Dorothy's honor may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church of Waterloo.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Waterloo with the Rev. Thomas Wilsmann presiding. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will be at Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland.
