Doris A. Wendt, 90 of Watertown, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2015 at her home.
Doris was born on May 1, 1925 in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Wendt Sr. Doris moved to Bethesda Lutheran Home in 1932 and lived there for 83 years. She was always happy and loving, showing her affection to all she came in contact with. She enjoyed taking walks with her special friend Patricia Engen. She was very observant and would always carefully examine items she encountered along her walks. She enjoyed the participating in activities at Bethesda and was also known to be an "escape artist". She was a lovable, special lady who will be missed.
Doris is survived by her special friend and guardian Patricia (David) Engen of Wales, WI.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd of Bethesda Lutheran Communities with Rev. Dennis Kneer presiding. Visitation will be on Tuesday in the chapel from 9:30AM until the time of service. Burial will take place at Lutheran Cemetery following the service.
