Delores A "Dee" White 79 formerly of Waterloo/Cambridge died peacefully at Heritage Homes on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in Watertown, surrounded by her family and caregivers after a long courageous struggle with Alzheimer's.
Delores was born on July 24 1933 to Edna (Lemke) and Homer Wilke in Waterloo. She was a graduate of the Waterloo High school. In October of 1952 she married James (Jim) White. They farmed in the town of York for eight years. For health reasons, they moved to Waterloo where she worked for Cooley Carpets and then for Virchow Krause of Waterloo. She continued to work for Virchow Krause in Watertown until retirement.
They joined the Lake Ripley Country Club in 1975 where she was very active in the Ladies Organization and always enjoyed being with her many friends. She dearly loved playing golf. Their vacations always centered on golf activities. Dee was blessed to be able to enjoy 16 winters near Arcadia Florida at Brookside Bluff where she could continue her love of Golf.
Last year Jim and Dee had the honor of celebrating sixty years of marriage. They lived in Waterloo and for many years, and at their cottage on Lake Ripley in Cambridge. They finally settled into a Condo in Cambridge.
Dee is survived by her husband, Jim White of Cambridge, daughters Susan (Lonnie) Benesch of Waterloo and Cindy (Mark) Osiecki of Oak Creek. Her loving grandchildren include, Melissa Chadwick of Marshall, Heidi Wells of McFarland, Dustin Benesch of Marshall, Michael Osiecki of Cudahy and David Osiecki of Oak Creek. Brother's-in-law, Gerald (Ellen) Venice FL Roger (Lynn) Naples FL and sister-in-law Adeline Wilke of Waterloo and a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Dee will also be remembered with love by her second family of caregivers at Heritage Homes Watertown.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Laverne (Butch), Kenneth and Marvin.
Funeral service will held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday April 13, 2013 at St John Lutheran Church in Waterloo with Pastor Thomas Wilsmann officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Waterloo.
Visitation will be at St John Lutheran Church in Waterloo at 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be given to St John Church, Rainbow Hospice, or charity of your choice.
