Delbert "Butch" W. Westenberg 77, of Watertown passed away on Friday Jan. 24, 2014 at Watertown Regional Medical Center.
He was born on Aug. 16, 1936 in Watertown the son of Charles and Louise (Schoenike) Westenberg. He served in the U.S. Army 1959-61. He married Phyllis Wiser on April 20, 1963 at Zion Lutheran church in Ashippun . Butch farmed the family farm in the Town of Emmet all his life. He was an active member of St. Mark's Ev. Lutheran Church. He loved playing Sheepshead and was active with Associated Milk Producers Inc.
Survivors include: wife Phyllis Westenberg; 3 children Larry of Watertown, Rev. Douglas (Ann) of Marshfield and Scott (Deborah) of Watertown; 5 grandchildren Joel, Rachel, Samuel, Kimberly and Joshua; sister Verna Miller of Watertown. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Ev. Lutheran Church.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 at St. Mark's Ev. Lutheran Church with the Rev. Michael Jensen presiding. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday 9:00 am until the time of service.
