Darryl T. Batzler, 57 of the Town of Portland, died on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at home after long, courageous, battle with cancer. As always, he never complained.
Darryl was born on December 29, 1958 in West Bend, the son of Hilary and Joy (Riffel) Batzler. He is a 1976 Graduate of West Bend West High School and he worked for Allied Moving and Storage as a truck driver for 25 plus years. He married Whisper Klawitter on November 7, 2015 in Deerfield, WI and the couple enjoyed life together in the Town of Portland. Darryl loved riding his Harley, fishing, Wisconsin sports teams, traveling and had an awesome sense of humor. He loved the Caribbean and had an infectious smile. He will be dearly missed by his many friends, family, and loving wife, Whisper.
He is survived by: his Wife Whisper; Sister Debby Lewis; Brothers Steve Batzler, Craig (Tabetha) Batzler, Clayton Batzler; and his In-Laws Kyle and Kathryn Klawitter. Darryl is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Darryl is preceded in death by: his parents, Maternal Grandparents Joseph and Evelyn Riffle, and Paternal Grandparents Oscar and Loretta Batzler.
A celebration of Darryl's life will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2016. Join us for lunch at 12:30PM at the Waterloo Regional Trailhead (760 McKay Way Waterloo, WI 53594). Sister Georgeann Roudebush, Chaplin at Home Health United will be sharing a few words. Burial will take place at Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland at a later date.
