Carsten Vallin

Carsten Vallin, 74, of Watertown, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at his home with his wife by his side.

Carsten was born on June 16, 1949, in Denmark, the son of Enid Pölkemann. He married Jill Lumby on January 16, 2004, in Las Vegas, and the couple enjoyed 20 years of marriage. He owned and operated Vogue cleaners in Watertown and Janesville since 2004. In his younger years he was an avid sailor on the ocean in Denmark, he enjoyed drinking red wine, working on lawn work, and watching the Green Bay Packers. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his children and grandchildren. 

Carsten is survived by his wife Jill, children: Annemette (Leif) Vallin-Brenoe, grandchildren William and Tobias, stepchildren: Amy (Dan) Leinen and John (Alicia) Pohlman, step-grandchildren: Seamus, Samantha, Stella, Nora, and Beau.  He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

A friends and family gathering will be held from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home in Watertown. Burial will take place at a later date.
