Carolyn J. Kostuck, 100, of Watertown, WI passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Marquardt Health Center.
Carolyn was born on May 18, 1918 in Watertown the daughter of Henry and Else (Zimmermann) Mitzner. She married Carl D. Kostuck in 1949 and started a family. The two enjoyed 56 years of marriage together until his death in 2005. Carolyn was a progressive woman and travelled the world. For work, she was a bookkeeper and taught business classes at MATC-Milwaukee. In her later years, Carolyn worked as a teacher’s assistant at Madison High School in Milwaukee. Above all else, Carolyn loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed baseball and plays. Carolyn’s loving family remembers her as having a big smile and a laugh that could light up a room.
Carolyn leaves behind her two sons, David (Sandy Bottner) Kostuck and James (Peggy) Kostuck; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; her cousin Karen (Don) Pugh; and her niece Jacquelyn Collins. She is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and five siblings: sister Helen, her twin brother Henry, brother Robert, sister Lois, and sister Doris.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Marquardt Health Center and Marquardt Hospice, especially Carolyn’s nurse, Megan.
Memorials in Carolyn’s honor may be made to St. Mark’s Ev. Lutheran Church – Watertown.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
