Carol R. Bergdoll 76, of Watertown passed away on Wednesday Jan. 23, 2013 at Fort Memorial Hospital.
Carol was born on May 15, 1936 in the Town of Emmet the daughter of William & Lydia (Scheel) Buss. She attended St. John's school and later graduated from Watertown High School. After graduation she worked at Woolworth in Watertown. She married Melvin Bergdoll on July 19, 1958 at St. John's in Watertown. She and her husband farmed in the Town of Milford for many years. She was a Member of Mamre Moravian Church. Carol enjoyed playing cards, canning, gardening and flowers.
Survivors include: husband Melvin of Watertown; sister Joan (Kenneth) Steindorf of Marshall; brother Roger (Joyce) Buss of Cambridge; 3 sister-in laws Hazel Krebsbach of Madison, Shirley Buss of Watertown and Margie Buss of Reeseville; also survived by a number of nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers William Jr. and Lavern, sisters Grace and Jean in infancy, sister-in-law LaVerne Jine and brother-in-laws Harley Mueller, Bob Jine and Bill Krebsbach. Memorials to the Charity of One's Choice would be appreciated.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM on Monday Jan. 28, 2013 at Mamre Moravian Church in the Town of Milford with the Rev. Bruce Nelson presiding. Visitation will be held on Sunday 3-6 PM at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home in Watertown and on Monday 10 AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in the Mamre Moravian Cemetery.
