Calvin C. Knuppel
Waterloo, WI - God has called home the soul of Calvin Charles Knuppel. God granted a wonderful father and father-in-law a life of 86 years, 4 months and 2 days. Calvin passed away April 10, 2014 at Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg, WI.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, Monday April 14, 2014 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Waterloo with Rev. Robert Kosky presiding. A visitation will be from 10:00AM until the time of service at the church. Calvin will be buried at Washington Cemetery in Portland, WI.
He was born December 8, 1927 in Lowell, WI. He was the son of Sylvanus and Hilda (Luckow) Knuppel. He married Myrtle Riege on August 21, 1954. He was a gifted finish-carpenter by trade, being employed by J.H. Findorff & Son, Inc. and very proud of work done in Madison and Dane County. Later he retired from the City of Waterloo. He served his country with 33 months of service in the Army during the Korean American conflict and was stationed in Germany.
Survivors include his sons Jeffery (Melissa) of Tulsa, OK and Rick (Bonnie) of Waunakee, WI. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife Myrtle and sister Gladys Jaeckel.
Memorials can be made to Agrace Hospice Care of Fitchburg and Waterloo Fire and Rescue in his honor.
