BurnaDeane L. Quamme, 95 of Reeseville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Columbus Health and Rehab.
BurnaDeane was born on November 30, 1928, in Watertown, WI, the daughter of Raymond and Marie (Bartosch) Kuehnemann. She attended St. Bernard’s grade school and graduated from Poynette High School. She married the love of her life Lloyd Quamme on October 11, 1947, at St. Raphael’s in Madison and the couple enjoyed 71 years of marriage before his passing in 2019. She spent most of her life farming with her husband in the Town of Lowell. BurnaDeane also worked at Perry Printing in Waterloo, retiring after over 24 years. She and her husband enjoyed dancing together and they give credit to dancing for being the reason they met years ago. BurnaDeane liked to do crafts, like knitting and crocheting as well ceramics. Above all BurnaDeane enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
BurnaDeane is survived by her children: David Quamme of Watertown; MaryAnn (Ralph) Urroz of Downers Grove, IL; John Quamme of Farmington, MN; Steven Quamme of Waterloo; and Dan (Kelly) Quamme of Columbus. Grandchildren: Jessica Urroz; Andrew (Jacquelyn) Quamme; Douglas (Samantha) Quamme; Dylan Quamme; Dain Quamme; and Aaron (Tara) Knuppel. Great-grandchildren: Adelyn, Bronson, Charleigh, Blake, Brice and Aubrey. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She is preceded by her parents, husband, son Michael, grandson Dustin, and sister Lois “Smiley” Walder.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Gathering Source Food Pantry in Juneau would be appreciated by the family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024, at 11:30 AM at Holy Family Parish in Waterloo with Fr. Michael Johnson presiding. A visitation will be held at the Parish from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will take place at the Parish cemetery following the service.
