Betsy Lord

Betsy Ross Lord, (nee Bishop) passed away on Saturday August 31, 2013, at the age of 93. Born in Cobb, WI. on November 15, 1919, to Ross and Shirley Bishop. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jack C. Lord, and two brothers, Delos(Jessica) and William(Mary) Bishop. Betsy went to High School in Wauwatosa, WI., married Jack Lord in 1940 and raised their two daughters in North Prairie, WI. She enjoyed golfing, bowling and bridge and was a long time member of Rivermoor CC in Waterford, WI. She moved to Lakeland Fl. In 1984 until her return to Wisconsin in 2009 to be closer to family. She then resided at Marquardt Village in Watertown, WI. She is survived by two daughters; Barbara(Bill Cunningham) Dimick of Madison, WI., and Jackie(Alan) Posekany of Chandler, AZ. and Watertown, WI. Further survived by four grandchildren: Marc Dimick, Sarah(Steve Bell) Dimick, Kelly(Mike) Hagenbucher and Kristin(Rich) Fredrick and the eight great grandchildren that brought her great joy, also survived by nieces and nephews.
It was Betsy's wish to be cremated and a private family gathering held. Memorials can be directed to the American Cancer Society in her memory. Special thanks to the staff of Zinzindorf Hall and Marquardt Hospice for their loving care, and the many friends she met and enjoyed while at Marquardt.
