Barbara Neubauer

October 15, 1955 — February 10, 2017

Barbara Lynn Neubauer, 61 of Watertown, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 10, 2017 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital following a fight with cancer.
Barb was born on October 15, 1955 in Sheboygan, WI to Milton and Beatrice (Liebham) Schwalbe. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Special Education and Elementary Education from UW - Eau Claire. On October 21, 1978 she married her best friend, William Neubauer in Sheboygan. She lived her life dedicated to providing daycare to countless families and children over the years. She spent every moment possible with her grandchildren that adored her.
She is survived by: her husband of 38 years, William Neubauer of Watertown; children, Jess (Kurt) Rupnow of Oconomowoc, Kristen (Richard) Yu of Jackson, and Nikki (Kyle) Krueger of Watertown; 7 grandchildren that always looked forward to visiting her: Emilie, Lyra, Norah, Harvey, Ellie, Grayson, and Simon; sister Judie (Mark) Hollenbeck of Ada, MI; brothers Tom (Vera) Schwalbe of Peoria, AZ, and Jim (Darla) Schwalbe of Hingham, WI. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00PM on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at St. Matthews Church of Oconomowoc with Pastor Steven Pagels and Pastor Daniel Schmidt presiding. Visitation will be before the service from 4:00PM until the time of service at the church. The family will have a private burial at Glenview Memorial Gardens.
