Audrey Schuett

Audrey C. Schuett, age 94, of Nekoosa, WI, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Buena Vista Assisted Living Center of Rio Rancho, NM.
She was born on August 27, 1920 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late John and Caroline (Theison) Horstmeier. She grew up in Madison WI. On January 24, 1942, she married Wilbert Emil Schuett. That brought her to the Jefferson County area, living in the Farmington Township and the City of Watertown. She resided in Jefferson from 1978 through 1998, enjoying lots of golfing with her husband. Audrey worked as a Nursing Aide at the Countryside Nursing Home of Jefferson, WI and after she retired she enjoyed taking residents on field trips. When Audrey moved to Rio Rancho, NM, in the 70's, she ran a snack bar. Audrey was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Farmington, St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Watertown, St. John's Lutheran Church of Jefferson, and is a current member of Good Shepherd in Wisconsin Rapids. Her hospice nurse, Gwen, best described Audrey as "a true lady." Audrey loved spending time with family and friends. Senior Citizen Centers gave her time to play lots of games with friends.
She is survived by Janet (Dennis) Rohan of Colorado Springs, CO, Julane (Ron) Immekus-Dorn of Jefferson, Karen (Jim) Duehlmeier of Nekoosa, Mary (George) Povich of Bristol, and Richard (Mary) Schuett of Jefferson, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.. Audrey is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her son John, and her son-in-law Steve Immekus.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 16, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Jefferson with the Rev. Mark Bartsch presiding. Visitation will be on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. She will be laid to rest at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia.
