Armond P. Schmidt

Armond P. Schmidt, 84 of Watertown, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at his home.

Armond was born on July 25, 1940, the son of Bernard and Anna (Fredrick) Schmidt. He attended and graduated from Watertown High School. Armond proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He married Janice Linde and the couple shared almost 50 years of marriage together. After his service, Armond worked for more than 28 years as a Patrol Officer for Dodge County. He and Janice were members of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.

Armond is survived by his wife Janice, sister Laura (Marvin) Seifert, and sister-in-law Donna Schmidt. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Armond is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Marion (Oscar) Christian, Velda (Lester) Wagner, John Schmidt, and Donald Schmidt.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home of Watertown with Rev. Justin Cloute and Rev. Tony Schultz presiding. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Armond will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery of Watertown following the service.
