Arlyn W. Boll, 80 of Watertown, was called to life in Heaven with his Savior on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at his home.
Arlyn was born on Winona, MN on November 27, 1935, the son of Irwin and Luella (Steinke) Boll, and was reborn in Holy Baptism on January 19, 1936. He attended St. Martin's Lutheran School for 9 years and was confirmed there on April 2, 1950. He graduated from Winona Senior High in 1953 and from Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN in 1958. He married Karen Lampe on June 27, 1959 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington, MN. She preceded him in death to the Savior's side on August 27, 1967. Arlyn served the Lord and the Lutheran Church as a teacher in Arlington, MN, Stevensville, MI, St. Paul, MN, Milwaukee, WI, and Watertown, WI for over 35 years. He also was granted the privilege of writing 160 Sunday school lessons for the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. He served for a number of years as Choir Director and for nearly 60 years as Church Organist. Arlyn was very proud of his God-given talents. After retiring from teaching, Arlyn enjoyed a variety of occupations, including more than 5 years as a new account specialist with Schwan's Sales Enterprises, and more than 10 years in real estate sales as a broker associate. He volunteered for numerous boards in the community, most recently serving on the Watertown Police and Fire Commission. He was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Neosho.
Arlyn is survived by: his Wife Verna (Schultz) Boll, whom he married at Atonement Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, WI on December 27, 1967; Sons Gregory of St. Paul, MN, Jeffrey (Heidi) of Baraboo, and Philip (Jennifer) of DeForest; 5 Grandchildren Angelique, Brandon, Hunter, Krysta, and Kayla; 3 Step-Grandchildren Andrew, Stephanie, and Zachary; Great-Grandson Keagan; and a Sister Aleda Brensel of Oconomowoc. Arlyn is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Neosho with Rev. Joshua Kesting presiding. Visitation will be from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place at Lutheran Cemetery of Watertown following the service.
