Arlene S. Beyer, 87 of Waterloo, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at Willowbrook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Lake Mills.
Arlene was born on December 29, 1928 in Waterloo, WI the daughter of William and Ella (Fischer) Kowski. She is a 1946 graduate of Waterloo High School and on June 5, 1948, she married Robert Beyer at St. John's Lutheran Church of Waterloo. The couple enjoyed 68 years of marriage and raised 4 children in Waterloo. Arlene was a devoted wife and mother and worked part-time as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Greg Anderson before becoming Waterloo's most famous "Avon Lady" - for 30+ years. Arlene also helped her husband operate Waterloo Bowl for many years. She enjoyed her family and friends; playing card, bowling, and living life to the fullest. She cherished he children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Arlene will be missed by many.
She is survived by: her loving and devoted Husband Bob of Waterloo; 3 Children Tom of Middleton, Kathi (Doug) Strohbusch of Watertown, and Mike (Traci) of Waterloo; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
Arlene is preceded in death by: her parents, Son Randy in 1982, Sisters Bernice Vehlow and Doris Deppe, Brothers Clarence, Ray, Charles, and James.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church of Waterloo or Rainbow Hospice Care of Jefferson.
A funeral service will be held at 5:00PM on Sunday August 28, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Waterloo with Rev. Thomas Wilsmann presiding. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3:30PM until the time of service at the church. A private family burial will be on Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery of Waterloo.
