Ann “Annie” M. Egan passed away at age 41, on Sunday, February 16, 2020, at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.
Annie was born on October 29, 1978 in Watertown, the daughter of David and Cathy (Henning) Egan. Annie was a very special person who profoundly touched and influenced her family and friends. She never walked or talked, yet she connected to those who cared for her in other ways. Annie was an amazing teacher. Her life was an up-hill battle physically, made possible only by the loving care provided by her family, friends, and countless medical professionals. She radiated that love back. Annie was a fighter. She never gave up. She was a perfect soul.
Annie went everywhere she could with her family. She especially enjoyed attending sporting events, mass, or any gathering of people, where she could often be heard clapping and saying “hi” to everyone who passed. She was a blessing to all and will be dearly missed by those who were blessed to have known her.
Annie is survived by her parents, Dave and Cathy Egan, of Watertown, WI, and siblings: Tom (Mickie) of New London, WI, Mike (Jenny) of Belgium, WI, and Colleen (Bruce), of Sussex, WI. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, with Fr. Patrick Wendler presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of service. The Burial will follow the service at St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the many expert caregivers and doctors that helped Annie on her journey, especially the staffs at both Watertown Regional Medical Center and Rainbow Hospice, as well as Dr. Vikram Goyal.
Memorials in Annie’s honor to Bethesda Lutheran Communities and Rainbow Hospice Care would be appreciated.
