Ann Josephine (Motl) Geishirt, 90 of Waterloo, passed away Tuesday April 8, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.
Ann was born September 18, 1923 to Bernard and Anna (Blaschka) Motl on the family farm near Waterloo. She was the youngest of 9 children. She was a 1941 graduate of Waterloo High School. She married Sylvester "Bud" Geishirt on August 5, 1947 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waterloo. After 52 years of marriage, he passed away in 1999. Ann was a lifelong and active member of St. Joseph's Church. She worked at Artcraft Press for 20 years, retiring in 1984.
She is Survived by her children: Ellen Geishirt of Middleton, Kathy (Jim) Hornby of Kaukauna, Bob Geishirt of Waterloo, Jim Geishirt of Loganville, Judy (Tim) Wicke of Sun Prairie, John (Jeri) Geishirt of Marshall and Carl (fiancé Kelli) of Green Bay; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Ann is also survived by her sister Mary Parr of Deforest and Bud's daughter Doris (Don) Loeffler of Cottage Grove, OR. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephew, other relatives and "church lady" friends.
Besides her husband, Ann was preceded by: 2 sisters, Bernadine Nelson and Rita Conrad and 5 brothers; Clarence, Urban, Bernard, Joe and Aloys.
A funeral service will be at 11:00AM, Friday April 11, 2014 at Holy Family Parish - Waterloo Campus with Fr. Jorge Miramontes presiding. Visitations will be held from 5:00PM-7:00PM on Thursday April 10, 2014 at the Church and from 10:00AM on Friday until the time of service at the Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank Home Health United Hospice for their assistance. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Home Health United Hospice of Madison.
