Albin Jaeger

Albin H. Jaeger, age 84, of Hustisford, formerly of Ixonia, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at Marquardt Health Center in Watertown. He was born December 5, 1928 in Ixonia to the late Hubert and Ruth (Schwefel) Jaeger. He was an active member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Ixonia, where he was a choir member. He then moved to Hustisford in 1988 and joined Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church. Albin farmed in Ixonia until 1988; then, he began his work as a tractor driver for Seneca until last year. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage and recycling anything of value.
Albin is survived by his sister Inez Kalfahs, sister-in-law Kay (Rev. Armin) Schuetze, nieces and nephews; Gen. (Ret.) James (Rita) Jaeger, Rev. Joel (Karla) Jaeger, Joanne (Rev. Don) Sutton, Julie (Rev. Gerald) Blobaum, Jaclyn (Dan) Hansen, Linda (Rick) Haase, Rochelle (Lt. Col.(Ret.) Larry) Christie. He is further survived by great nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his brother Lorenz Jaeger, sister Helen (Rev. Edgar) Greve, and brother-in-law Gus Kalfahs.
Memorials to either St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ixonia, or Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church in Hustisford would be appreciated.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday September 3, 2013 at BETHANY EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 269 N. Lake St. Hustisford with Rev. Timothy Bauer and Rev. David Pries officiating. Lunch will be served after the church service. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Ixonia. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday at the Church.
